In more than 26 years as a dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon, I
have witnessed the focus of dermatologic research shift towards
prevention and repair of damaged skin. As our knowledge of how our skin
heals, how damage and aging occur become more definitive, the
possibilities to correct unwanted changes continues to grow. Recent
medical discoveries have shown that non invasive procedures, topical
prepartions and nutrition can significantly improve and influence the
health and appearance of our skin. Close observation during treatment
of my patients has convinced me that taking a proactive role in skin
care can made a positive difference.
In order to provide this care in a safe, supervised medical environment,
I created the dermaSpa. The dermaSpa's primary goals are to educate
patients about effective modalities of skin care, and to provide
patients with the latest and most effective means of treating,
preventing and repairing unwanted changes in their skin. Procedures
performed and skin products provided in the dermaSpa have scientific
documentation regarding their effectiveness in achieving our goal of
improving the quality and health of our skin.
